| We werent expecting much when we visited here but were pleasantly surprised by some of the items still there. The pattern store was wonderful with all kinds of patterns and moulds remaining, interestingly on an upper floor we found moulds for WH Smith. The level of decay was an enhancement to a fairly intact building with plants creeping in all over. The offices still contained in a small french windowed room the drawing boards, what a lovley design room that must have been.
An iron and aliminuim foundry allegedly one of the last working victorian iron foundries in Essex now lays awaiting its fate. many thanks to Dweeb for info on here and for explaining to me what the different places in the builidng would have been used for. |
